Challenge
- Detection of color of the prescribed component in assembly
- The component is hidden in the assembly when it is completely ready
- Red, Green, Yellow, White ring components with slight variation in the shades
- Need continuous monitoring throughout assembly process so as to detect the removal of the component as well
Solution
- 3 stations with one camera each in single software working in parallel
- Individual monitoring of each station and decision making accordingly
- Interfacing with assembly PLC control system for locking and unlocking based on detection result
- Prescribed component detected for assembly and also for removal thereafter to ensure full-proof system
